...that Gaile has disappeared? We are now 10 days into GW:EN and according to the dev trackers on here and GWO, she hasn't made a singe post since the release. I'm guessing she doesn't want to even try to defend GW:EN's inadequacies.

Too bad.

GW:EN doesn't have many inadequacies in my opinion and everyone has holidays some time so maybe Gaile's away somewhere

She got hit by one of those big Indiana-Jones rocks that squash you in some GW:EN areas.

That and the fact that its much smarter to let the whining die down, a week after EN and the number of EN bashing posts has seriously diminished.

For the rest, I'll let Jeff Strain do the talking:

Pay close attention to complexity creep. Don't assume that most of your players are reading your website and consuming information about your game. Most of your players will never read your website, never visit fansites, and never participate in forum discussions. We are often immersed in the community forums and rants and raves posted to game fansites, and it is easy to lose perspective about the knowledge level of most of our players. Players who participate in fansites and send six-page emails to your community team are experts at your game – they probably know more about it than you do – so it's important to realize that they do not represent the average player. The vast majority of your players are not digging into every detail of every spell or creating lists of animations so that they can react when they see the basilisk twitch its nose. They want to play, not study, so take care to create a game that allows them to do so.

Gaile has been commenting on the odd few things.... but I'd imagine that she isn't too keen on speaking out around here and getting a tirade of abuse thrown at her by those folks who are NOT satisfied with GW:EN.

Let the unsatisfied folks bugger off elsewhere... and THEN Gaile will be able to safely show herself.

Sometimes I worry about how folks like her cope with the abuse they get from places like this.

I get that too sometimes, but I'm quite positive that Gaile & rest of the folks at Anet have skin thick enough to read even all the negative stuff without taking it too seriously - there might be some little piece of useful info hidden inside all the flames & bashing.

Gaile visits everyday just about, you just can't see her.

Invisibility mode.

thank god. but, in her stead, i can act as her! If you want to ask me a question, the following answers apply:

1) I like it! Ill see what I can do!
2) Yes! Sounds Good! I Might be able to get you an answer that might be accurate!
3) Maybe! Perhaps I will find out it will be, but it could not be. But of course, if it is, then it cant.
4) No! I dont think it will happen. but the devs dont talk to me and only make me get coffee. Next time they need something Ill ask! but DEFINATELY No....maybe.

there! I just copied and pasted her entire chatlogs on when shes in Kamadan. Oh..forgot this:

Hold on, someones at the door!
Hold on, someones on the phone!
Hold on, someones messaging me!
Hold on, someones texting me!

and, never forget:

Now that I have told you all the important stuff that might happen, CONGA!!! /falls off of cliff

According to my search, Gaile has made 14 posts in the last week. Since you don't really have a topic anymore, closed.
